Plan and billing schedule
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2 November 2026
1. What this schedule covers
This schedule applies to every subscription and minute pack you buy from us, to automatic top-up, and to the minutes of our free plan. It is part of your agreement with us, as The documents that form the agreement, in the Terms of Service, describes, and words defined in the Terms of Service mean the same here. Changes to this schedule says which version applies to a purchase.
The Terms of Service describe use in general terms; this schedule measures it in translation minutes. So a prepaid pack there is a minute pack here, and the minutes it adds are extra minutes; a plan’s included allowance is its included minutes; anything we give you free includes minutes we gave you free; and automatic top-up is an automatic purchase.
What each plan includes, its limits and its price are on Pricing and at checkout, and the countries we sell to are shown at checkout; none of them is set out here.
2. Translation minutes
Translation minutes measure the wall-clock time a session is live — started and not paused — whether its guests read a translation or only the transcript. Languages do not multiply the meter: an hour live is 60 translation minutes however many languages the session serves.
When a session ends, its total live time is rounded up by no more than 10 seconds; nothing else is rounded.
3. Pausing and maximum session length
Pausing stops the meter while the session stays open, whether you pause the session or it pauses itself because no guests are connected.
A live session left with no guests connected may pause itself and, where you choose that, may end itself after it has paused.
A plan’s maximum session length works differently from the meter: it runs from the moment a session goes live, does not stop while a session is paused, and may end a single live run at its cap.
4. Included minutes
A paid plan’s included minutes are the allowance it gives for each billing period. A billing period runs from the day you subscribe, or from the billing date an upgrade moved it to, and the allowance renews at the start of each one once that period’s payment succeeds. Included minutes left at the end of a period do not carry over.
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it, and the new period’s included minutes are not renewed until it is paid. If it is still not paid, the subscription is cancelled: paid access ends, and a session that is running ends with it.
If you withdraw from a subscription in its cooling-off period, what was supplied is no more than the larger of the share of the billing period that has passed and the share of its included minutes you have used.
Once your available minutes are exhausted you cannot start a new session until you buy more or the next allowance begins, and we may stop or limit a session already running.
5. Extra minutes and the order minutes are used
Extra minutes you buy as a minute pack are added to a separate balance once your payment succeeds. If you cancel a pack, its unused minutes are removed from that balance.
Included minutes, and minutes we gave you free, are used before extra minutes you bought. Where you hold more than one pack, the oldest pack is drawn from first, and that is also how we work out how much of a pack you cancel has been used.
6. Changing plan
An upgrade takes effect when you confirm it, at the new price and the new limits, and the unused part of the period you had already paid for is credited against it.
A downgrade takes effect from your next renewal, and we do not refund or prorate the higher plan’s unused part except where the law requires.
7. When a plan ends
When a subscription ends — because you cancelled it, because it was cancelled after its payment failed, or because you withdrew from it — its included minutes end with it, and your account continues on our free plan unless we have agreed otherwise with an organisation.
Extra minutes are kept as Prepaid packs, in the Terms of Service, says.
8. Automatic top-up
What you agree to. When you turn automatic top-up on, we show you, and you agree to: the minute pack it buys and its price; the threshold — the level of available minutes below which it buys; and the spend cap — the most it may charge, in the currency you pay us in, in any one-month period.
When it buys. Whenever your available minutes fall below the threshold, it buys the pack you agreed to: a minute pack like any other, whose minutes are extra minutes. A top-up can be charged while a session is running, and its minutes are added once the payment succeeds. Minutes you buy yourself do not count towards the spend cap, and money refunded to you comes off what automatic top-up has charged.
When it does not. If a purchase would take what automatic top-up has charged in any one-month period over your spend cap, if a payment fails, or if we cannot sell you that pack — for example because your plan no longer offers it — your balance is not topped up and you owe nothing for it. It also buys nothing while a closure of your account that you asked for is pending. After a declined payment we may stop automatic top-up until you change the payment method.
Changing plan does not change the pack, price, threshold or spend cap you agreed to. If your new plan does not offer that pack, automatic top-up buys nothing until you choose one it does or turn automatic top-up off.
9. Changes to this schedule
We change this schedule only as Changes to these Terms, in the Terms of Service, describes. Which version applies:
- A purchase keeps the version in force on the day it was made, which is the version checkout shows; a later version applies only to purchases made on or after the day it takes effect.
- A subscription moves to a later version from its first renewal on or after the date that version takes effect.
- Automatic top-up keeps the version in force when you turned it on or last changed its settings.
- Our free plan, and minutes we gave you free, follow the version in force under Changes to these Terms, in the Terms of Service.
